I keep networks up and attackers out. Five years engineering carrier-grade infrastructure across Africa — fiber, LTE, microwave, and the security controls wrapped around them — now paired with a Master’s in Cybersecurity from Yeshiva University.
01 — About
I started out on a support desk in Harare, resolving 45 tickets a day and learning that most outages are really communication problems wearing a technical costume. That grounding followed me into network engineering at Liquid Intelligent Technologies, one of Africa’s largest connectivity providers, where I spent five years on the infrastructure that carries a continent’s traffic.
My work spanned LAN/WAN troubleshooting, ONU/OLT provisioning on Huawei U2000 and NCE, fixed wireless access over LTE and microwave, and 24/7 monitoring through SolarWinds and Splunk. Along the way I kept discovering the same thing: the interesting problems were security problems. So I moved to New York to study them properly.
I now hold a Master of Science in Cybersecurity from Yeshiva University’s Katz School, backed by Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Cisco Security Core, and CompTIA Security+ credentials. I’m looking for roles in security operations, network security, or cloud infrastructure where deep network fluency is an asset rather than an afterthought.
SIEM monitoring, alert triage, and escalation with Splunk and SolarWinds.
Routing, switching, firewalls, and fiber transport at carrier scale.
Azure solution design and administration at expert certification level.

Contributed to a full-scale core migration — decommissioning legacy Huawei devices and standing up Cisco core routers with minimal service disruption to live customer traffic.
Worked with a team of nine on topology design and deployment planning for the IP backhaul, focused on capacity management and headroom for forecast growth.
